Description:
Lost in Stereo: Soundscapes & Sightlines explores the intersection of graphic design, photography, and music culture, specifically on Baltimore’s underground alternative music scene. Through zines, posters, photo murals, and hand-bound books, I document and amplify the voices of local musicians, creating a bridge between digital and physical mediums. By immersing myself in the community— attending shows, photographing performances, and collaborating with artists— I aim not only to capture the energy of these spaces but also to become a part of them.
Photography serves as both an archive and a form of storytelling in my work. The concert images seek to preserve the raw, fleeting moments of live music: the sweat, the lights, the connection between artist and audience. I combine these visuals with bold typography, experimental layouts, and handcrafted elements to create work that feels tactile and lived-in, much like the music itself.
Beyond documentation, my goal is to provide a platform for underrepresented artists— to showcase their process, their stories, and their impact on the local scene. Whether through a carefully designed zine, a poster promoting a show, or a set of hand-bound books featuring interviews and portraits, my work is an invitation: to look closer, to listen deeply, and to appreciate the creative energy thriving in Baltimore’s independent music spaces.
